Siriana is a Ph.D. candidate in Historical Musicology at Harvard University. Her disseration investigates the musical labor and performance strategies of sex workers and their allies in 19th-century Western boomtowns. Drawing on archival newspapers, legal records, and oral histories, her work traces how sound and spectacle shaped the cultural economies of vice under settler colonialism.Committed to public scholarship and community-engaged research, Siriana has curated exhibits for the Harvard Music Library, published in Teen Vogue and PointsWest magazine, and designed music-centered community programming for both museum and educational settings. She is currently developing a digital companion to her dissertation that includes a playable historical simulation, supported by her work as a Media and Design Fellow at Harvard’s Bok Center for Teaching and Learning.
